I live two lives, in the one featured here, I am a wildlife and nature photographer in search of art in nature. My goal is to find magical places, moments, and animals, and portray them in an artistically and emotionally interesting manner. My images are all photographed digitally, and processed to show the image as I saw it (or perhaps a little more contrasty and colorful) by adjusting the exposure, contrast, and color both globally and locally. Occasionally I may remove a small twig or leaf, but only minor elements that are aesthetically distracting. None of these images are computer generated, they are all very real, you might just have to get lucky, know where to be when, and most importantly, wake up early, to see such wonders for yourself.
In my other life I am an engineer, recently (May 2008 ) graduated from Cornell University. I will be attending graduate school at CalTech for the next 5 or so years of my life working towards a PhD in Control and Dynamical Systems. Wish me luck in continuing to find time to steal away to the mountains!

I saw your photographs through the link to LABirds. I just wanted to tell you that I think your photographs are beautiful. As a birder, I especially love your bird photos.
